Please take a moment to read this before deciding to hire Angela Smith and the 1720 Event Planning Team.
 
How long have you been planning events and how did you become an event planner?
 
Angela:  I have more than 10 years of event planning experience.  I started working for a local Destination Management Company (DMC) in 2000.  I had planned family events for years, but had never planned professionally, so I started as the administrative assistant with the DMC.  I fell in love with the industry and absorbed and gleaned as much information as I could to learn and advance in the industry.
 
Later, I went to work for one of the largest ground transportation companies in the US.  Being responsible for their corporate and VIP clients for ground transportation gave me more strength in the event planning/DMC world.
 
In 2006, I decided to branch out on my own and start my company.  Since then, I have done some amazing events, from corporate events and weddings to ground transportation and event staffing, then later assisting with book launches and even being part of the 2011 Super Bowl in Arlington, TX. 
 
We love your services and your portfolioEverything sounds fantastic . . . What sets you apart from all the other event planners out there?
 
Angela:  1720 Events is a full service event planning company.  We have a partnership with only the best suppliers and vendors in the industry.  What sets me apart from other event planners is that my focus is on you, the client.  Your event vision is my primary goal, and bringing creativity and integrity to your event experience is important to me.  I do not overwhelm myself with more events than I can handle, leaving me free to dedicate my time solely to your needs.
 
1720 Events services are unparalleled in that we set high expectations not only on our service, but also the service of our vendors.  We take pride in what we do, and we have great relationships with local venues, transportation companies and suppliers so we are able to give you quality service with quality pricing - which results in cost savings and less stress for you.
 
This all sounds wonderful, but it sounds so expensive.  Are we going to be able to afford your services?
 
Angela:  When you recognize that it takes a bride more than 400 hours to plan a wedding or an event planner months to select the proper venue, get all the contracts negotiated and signed and then handle the actual events, you are really spending more if you do not have a planner assisting you with your wedding or event.  You spend hours, money, time and energy planning; in the mean time your other duties and responsibilities are being left undone (which result in more time, money and energy).  This is where 1720 Events can step in.

Angela:  I enjoy working with all types of people and personalities.  However, I work best with someone who understands the importance of having a planner and who is ready to make decisions to have the best meeting or event experience. 
 
For corporate planners, I work best with those who know that 1720 Events has YOUR company meetings and events best interests at heart.  Another words, we work on YOUR behalf to make you the SUPERSTAR that you are, but we are behind the scenes making certain that every detail is taken care of.
 
For the bride, I work best with those who know what they want, and realize that a planner can help them design and achieve the wedding they have always dreamed of.  I work well with the mature bride, 2nd-time bride and the bride who is more concerned with enjoying her special day and knows that 1720 Events will make it a memory for everyone involved, including the guests. 
 
If you want a dream wedding, to pull out all the stops and have that event you have dreamed of all of your life or if you want the most unforgettable meeting for your attendees, we will be a perfect match.
 
Who is not going to benefit from your service?
 
Angela:  I love meeting and event planning, it is a passion for me.  I enjoy helping brides create their special wedding day, and helping meeting planner plan the best meetings and events.  It is important that we are a match for each other and have a partnership to create the wedding or event that you envisioned. 
 
So, if you are skeptical about the process, do not understand that you deserve to have the best meeting/event, or are not quite ready to invest in your meeting/event so that the result is an amazing experience then you will probably not benefit from my service. It is ok if you fit in this group, but you need to do some soul-searching and decide what you are willing sacrifice to have the meeting/event that you are dreaming of.
 
Will I lose control of my event if you plan it for me?
 
Angela:  No, absolutely not.  1720 Events becomes your partner, an extension of you by creating the meeting/event that you are wanting to have.  You or your client will remain the focus.  We can make recommendations to you, but ultimately the meeting/event is still yours and we want to it to be successful.
 
Will you work with the vendors I have already found or people I really want to work with?
 
Angela:  Yes, 1720 Events will work with your fabulous vendors and make sure they are the right fit for you. 1720 Events has some amazing suppliers and vendors that we have at our fingertips, but it is not necessary to use only our vendors for us to partner with you.
 
Can we have a payment plan?
 
Angela:  1720 Events prides itself on being one of the most flexible event planning companies and we can assist you with payment options.
 
Do you have liability insurance?
 
Angela:  Yes.  Most of the venues that we work with require that we have liability insurance and this allows us to work confidently anywhere.  We have never had to use it, but it brings a level of comfort knowing it is in place.
 
Do you take more than one event per day?
 
Angela:  No, We focus on only one meeting/event per day, no more.  Our primary focus is on you and the success of your meeting/event.
